Dedicated OpenSUSE Servers
Have your own ultra-stable OpenSUSE dedicated server. You are root, do whatever you want with it. No minimum term, no setup fee.
The openSUSE project is a worldwide effort that promotes the use of Linux everywhere. OpenSUSE creates one of the world's best Linux distributions, working together in an open, transparent and friendly manner as part of the worldwide Free and Open Source Software community. The project is controlled by its community and relies on the contributions of individuals, working as testers, writers, translators, usability experts, artists and ambassadors or developers. The project embraces a wide variety of technology, people with different levels of expertise, speaking different languages and having different cultural backgrounds.
What others do with OpenSUSE:
- Apache/MySQL/PHP (LAMP) Web Server
- Xen Virtualization
- KVM Virtualization Hypervisor
- Tomcat or JBoss servers
- Mail server or Backup Mail Server
- Mail filtering system
- CVS, Subversion (SVN), or Git host
- DNS server (primary or secondary)
- shell server
- development platform
Our standard OpenSUSE dedicated server platform is a high-performance, 1U high Supermicro chassis with your choice of processors ranging from Intel Atom, Intel Dual Core, Core2 Duo to Quad Core Xeons and Dual Quad Core Xeons (8 cores). We have dedicated servers available with 2GB, 3GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 24GB, 32GB or 48GB of RAM. All our dedicated servers have switched 100Mbit or Gigabit Ethernet connection. Customized configurations are available. We can also colocate your provided hardware. Other dedicated server hardware configurations are available.
All our Dedicated Servers are monitored for availability (pinged every one minute). You will be paged and/or e-mailed in the event your server goes down. This web-based system can also give you uptime statistics and you can review historical monitoring data for your servers. We can also monitor network-based services such as HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, POP3, DNS, and others on your server for availability.
Web-based Availability, Performance, and Bandwidth Monitoring
Each and every switch port on our network is monitored for bandwidth, errors, discards and other anomalies. You have 24x7 web-based access to graphs that detail your bandwidth utilization by speed, and data transfer over time. As an additional service, we can also monitor your server health (CPU, disk use, memory, disk I/O, system load average) and alert if thresholds are exceeded.

The facility is staffed 24x7 and is serviced with redundant air, power and network. We share the facility with some of America's top financial institutions, government contractors, biotech and research organizations, hosting companies and network security companies.
What sets us apart from all others...
Our network's lightning-quick, punchy network response to almost anywhere is ensured by InterNAP's Flow Control Platform technology deployed on our network. The InterNAP Flow Control Platform (InterNAP FCP) monitors all of our multi-gigabit carrier connections for latency, jitter, packet loss and handshake round-trip time, BGP blackouts and more, for each destination network, then routes your traffic though the fastest and most reliable backbone to that specific destination network. The selected route used for each communication will be the fastest of any of our direct connectivity to Level 3 Communications, XO Communications, Cogent, American Internet Services, or any of the over 100 networks we are directly peered with through the Any2 Exchange at One Wilshire Blvd. This solution increases performance by greater than 50% over regular BGP solutions because standard BGP does not have any metric for performance and can not make route changes based on performance information like our network can. There just isn't a better network in San Diego.
Additional services such as premium whole disk backups, managed or un-managed firewall services and server load-balancing are available for extremely competitive additional cost.
All systems on our network are monitored by an Intrusion Detection System, which may alert our staff to attempted attacks to or from your server.
We are proud of our solid performance and availability. See our actual network availability statistics here.
