Lightwave Avenue Data Center
M5 Hosting Data Centers:
LIGHTWAVE AVENUE (LWDC)
M5 Hosting has a presence in two of San Diego’s premiere colocation facilities. Both provide for all planned maintenance to be performed with zero impact on operations. Both are SAS-70 Type II certified and audited annually. We maintain a private, leased, dark fiber transport connection between the two data centers, and each data center has it’s own redundant Internet connectivity in addition to the private, high-speed, transport between facilities. The facilities are 13 miles (21km) apart. Please see below for more detail on our Lightwave Avenue facility.
This 80,000 square-foot facility is located in the San Diego Spectrum area of San Diego, California. This facility has a long history of securely housing some of the most critical applications there are; US Department of Defense, 911 Emergency, Public Safety, Law Enforcement and Department of Corrections. This facility was reborn as an Internet Data Center after a multi-million dollar efficiency and modernization upgrade to the power and cooling systems performed by American Internet Services in 2008.
